UK data Protection act and getting permission to use images of people

Hi All,

I need some advice on a situation I find myself in which is not of my doing....

Can anyone post a link to were I can get specific advice on using images on a web site of the public..ie..not professional models but shots taken at events etc.

I have a feeling that I need written consent of some form before I can use a persons image.

I need good credible links to say a UK government or data protection site as I want to print these out and wave at my boss.
