What I find to be interesting that I didn't know was that.... Google scanned 10 million books, 2 million were in the public domain, 2 million were licensed to Google by their partners, which left only 6 million books that were subject to copyright concerns, but those books were largely out of circulation, and had no real marketplace anymore.

After watching the whole thing I hope Google can get this issue resolved. There is no reason not to digitize and centralize this info.
