META descriptions pretty much says it all...

"Does not having a posted privacy policy effect your SERPs."

We all know that bad content can effect your SERPs as well as internal and external links if not orchestrated correctly... but if you have an e-commerce website, can search engines detect if the privacy policy page doesn't have a policy posted and in turn have a negative effect on it's SERPs.

Anyone encounter this before? ideas...

The site I am working on is already live... I am just trying to help my client discover why here SERPs aren't what they should be. Alot of her interior pages aren't ranking at all and they should, at the very least, be ranking for the long-tailed keyword phrase of each of her <H1> tags for those pages.

I did discover that her privacy policy page had nothing on it and I was curious if this might possibly be a contributor?

Thanks for the help! - Saxman

Regardless of the SERPs issue, she should have a privacy policy. But this might belong in the Google Search forum, and get more responses there....
