I read a news article that someone had posted songs from a new Guns-n-Roses album online and that person has been prosecuted and is facing 3 years in prison or 5 years if he did it for commercial gain.
A couple of legal articles I read indicated this is a copyright issue and that intellectual property thieves cost business many times more than shoplifters annually in the U.S.

Very interesting farmboy. Would love to know more details. If the same law applies, getting jail time for those who scrape articles would be a really great thing for content creators.
