Hello
This is my 1st posting so Im hoping that someone will be able to point me in the right direction.

I am getting ready to register a trade mark, and im a little bit cofused.

firstly I understand about series of marks - but wondered if anyone knew if the following would class as acceptable

example

trademark
Trademark
TRADEMARK
Trade-mark

Would having a dash in the word make it not part of the series ?

secondly - Logo and word

If I have a logo -
example a picture of a mountain goat
and then a word next to it
example mountaingoat

would the logo be a trademark and then the word mountaingoat be a trademark, or would they be classed as a single mark

thus having to register the logo and word, and then the word seperatly

I hope someone understands and can help

Many thanks for your time

Hi Twixxy, and welcome to Webmasterworld.

I can't answer your questions, but can do the pointing in the right direction bit. Well, I hope that this is useful to you:

Hopefully someone here will be able to give you some insight, too.

Good luck.
