Is there anyway of getting money out of plagiarists?

I'm tired of just asking them to remove content

I'm sure this has been gone through before but I couldn't find a specific answer.

Running a fair few content/photo heavy websites I keep finding my content splashed all around the internet - Photos and text.
What has really surprised me is the size of some of the companies stealing content. I found a page with text and image from one of my sites on a the website of a household name and the Ministry of Defence site.

I'm bored of sending polite emails telling people to remove my content!
What I want to know is can I just send them an invoice and deal with it from there?

Thanks,
Chris

And how would you pursue the invoices, or would you hope that the offenders would then remove the content in question?

I'd pursue the invoice in the same way as with any other unpaid invoice - via the courts (small claims court in the UK).
I guess I'd have to bill them for a license to use the content as I wouldn't want them to continue using it. If this was published in the websites terms and conditions/copyright page would that make it enforceable?

Here's a thread on one successful effort to extract some cash from a deep-pockets content thief:

Thanks rogerd - Have sticky'd the poster.
