My application has been rejected and I called a lawyer, but have no idea what she's talking about. The terms she uses sounds unfamiliar (its my first time applying for a trademark) so before I call her again I wanted to do some research and was wondering if you guys know of any good websites other than USPTO.gov that you found helpful in understanding the basic terms.
Please give me guidance.

[edit reason] sticky request [/edit]
The docs at USPTO are very complete, but yes, it takes some wrangling to decipher them. Our mark was initially rejected because of something vague in the color description. The way they worded it it led us to think it was the way we described the colors used in the logo itself, but on the second rejection, we looked closer, it was describing the colors of the associated text.
My point is, examine the reason for rejection, and hit the USPTO docs, eventually you'll figure it out. USPTO won't assist you, they want you to go to a TM lawyer (which is the best recourse if you can't get it.)
