Is that permitted?
I'm asking that, because I will use scene from registration on the other site, which is copywrite protected.
Thank you in advance.
Are you an affiliate of the site you want to copy?
If 'yes', then they may have no problem, as they will ultimately profit from your actions.
But it'll be a definite 'no' if you are misleading visitors in any way to get them to use your affiliation rather than the 'main' site.
If you are an affiliate, your best approach is to ask them.
Don't forget there may be two issues here; copyright AND the terms and conditions of affiliation. Break them and you may lose money without them needing to take you to court!
Quadrille:" Not absolutely clear what you are asking"
I asked that:
(Webmasterworld does not allow urls so I will use a.com and b.com for that example.)
I find site a.com, and registered for their affilaite program(Actually that is lead program).Than I registered my domain b.com, and rediarected b.com to my affiliate link in a.com.So:
b.com -> a.com/MyAffiliateLink -> a.com
(b.com is without hosting)
Now I want to create video, where to teach people how to go and register to the site a.com.So in that video I will make one free registration and will record that.At the end of that video I will say "Visit b.com" (not a.com).
Again: b.com is rediarected to my affiliate link on a.com.
And so people will type b.com, but than they will be rediarected to a.com.
Than I will upload that video to youtube, myasace, yahoo, and so on.
Is that permitted?
Thanks again.
But what do you plan to do with the video?
Your site, or other places.
Again, if it's your site, You have a chance of being OK (I suspect) - but if you publish anywhere else, the affiliate HQ are likely to see it as misdirecting people - they'll be paying affiliate fees to you, rather than getting the visitors themselves.
On the other hand, it could be argued that you are converting people who otherwise would never have been customers.
Only one way to find out ... ask!
