Reproducing music album sleeve notes

How to get permission from a major entertainment corporation?

Relative to a hobby site, I would like to get permission to reproduce online the sleeve notes to a set of LP's published in the 1970's. (For the youngsters among us, an LP is a long-playing music album made from vinyl and played on a turntable...)

The albums and sleeve notes were published by the music division of a major entertainment corporation - one of the biggest - and, in trying to gain permission for reproduction, I have visions of me getting lost in a fog of emails and being shunted blindly from one unknowing person and department to another.

Has anyone had any experience in seeking this type of permission from a major player? Indeed, anyone working in the entertainment/music industry who may be able to offer some insight on who I should be seeking to communicate with?
