CMS Overview

phpnuke gets worse; what are the alternatives?

phpnuke 6.7 is out, but the comments are catastrophic - "don't use the new version, stick with your 5.5".
I'm running phpnuke 6.0 with the BBtoNuke port without problems, but I'm curious...

Time to look around what other CMS' are out there and which ones use up-to-date, stable technology. I have php/MySQL-based systems in mind that can be installed on most of the webspaces (wanted to try out typo3 to find out that you need to reconfigure some php@server priority - impossible unless one rents a root server).

[Added:] What CMS did you use/are you using now? And why did you switch? "This CMS has the most secure user managment.", "That one is equipped with the best forum." ...
(It think it would be great to *compare* rather than *list all features*.)
