How do you ensure you get the most from the articles you write?

Every day I write 3-4 good articles on my industry. These articles are approximately 400 words in length. Each article is researched for several different authority websites and these are extremely useful to my clients. I add these articles to the resources section of my own website.

Then I quickly rewrite each article and submit each to 3 different article directories. I try to find new directories but I double up occasionally. The reason I rewrite these articles is to avoid duplicate content filters. I don’t want Google to think I “robbed” those articles from the directory websites. Each directory links to my website but to be honest, sometimes I question the quality of the link. Some directories receive large volumes of articles. Therefore my articles can get buried deep down. This is why I double up my article submissions to these directories.

I’ve seen an increase in traffic to our website and an increase in back-links on Yahoo, but can I be dong more for each article. I don’t think my articles are news worthy so I haven’t tried press releases. I wonder if I’m doing everything possible to get the greatest benefit from my Articles.

Thanks
Donal
