It looks a bit too good to be true.

Hi All

I found a new website that is offering free content in exchange for a link from your homepage. At first of course I was a bit skeptical but I can’t see the catch. This is from their FAQs:

Why are these articles free?
We have the resources to write a large volume of unique articles. What we need is a large volume of links. We’re happy to keep writing unique articles while you continue to link to us.

After further reading I found out that your page rank determines the number of articles written. Seems fair.

I don’t want to break the TOS, so I wont post the website address but I’ll be happy to sticky mail it to anyone to check it out.

What do you think? Is it a con or a link farm network?

Thanks
Donal

Their articles may be unique when they write them, but they won't be unique after hundreds of sites use the exact same article.

I would get in touch with them; I had good experience with a site offering articles for links - I told them that I won't host duplicate content on my site, so they wrote a nice article that they offered exclusively to me (with two links to their website). Fair, win-win. Everyone's happy.

But if the personal contact doesn't work out and they appear greedy, hands off.

Are they really anything that the reader is going to learn anything useful from?

I can spot these articles in a second, and then go looking for a site with REAL information.
