I run a website, without any company associated with it. Its a indpeendent website. I have not hired or taken service from any lawyer.
I just collected few imp. points by refering internet & made "TOS" & "Privacy policy" , kept them on my SignUp page.
Does this make sufficient conditions to be called as valid "TOS" & "PRIVACY policy"
Is there anything further I can do to make it more authentic.
I'm not trying to sell you anything but I just read a very good ebook about creating a TOS and privacy policy for websites. It's called 'Webmaster's Legal Guide' by Brian Kindsvater. Do a Google search for it. It's a short ebook but it's quality - it explains each legal statement you need to include on your site and why you need to include it. Also includes lots of samples statements that you can use on your site.
