Does anyone know how to get MLS listings for Northern California, without being a real estate agent?

I'm not sure that I understand the question. Most people hire a real estate agent and that agent puts the listing in MLS.

I think Cristal wants to publish MLS listings for her area.

Lorax is right. I just want to have the listings appear on my community portal. The search phrase information really helped. Thank you. However, every company I have run across requires you to be a real estate agent. If someone has built a real estate website and knows how to get around this, please let me know.
If you want to frame them use MLS.com . The boards do not syndicate their information out, it is the MLS which allows them to make a living, they guard the MLS with their lives.

I just got an informative message from one of the companies that build real estate sites. I am going to share this, incase any one else is looking for the same thing: "<snip>" So, I am going to approach it from a different angle. Thank you for everyones help ( and the warm welcome)!

My bad.. OK in my own words. The MLS IDX has access rules that only allow real estate brokers to display thier data. The recommendation was to co-brand the listings with a local broker.
