The sites had been listed in DMOZ and had in an interesting niche several thousand visitors a month.
My client went 2005 bancrupt.
So I let both domain names expire. Somebody purchased the domains.
Now I made a query at Google
site:expired-domain.com
And big surprise, all the titles from me show up, the complete site.
But when I click on the search results, complete different content shows up.
I assume, that somebody had copied the old contents and
that the old contents is only shown to Googlebot and other spieders
Now comes the question of copyright infringment in play.
I have worded the titles and descriptions for my client. My client has purchased the use of my work.
I think this is a copyrighted work
Now has somebody copied my copyrighted work
and presents it only to Googlebot.
Questions:
Is it a copyright infringment?
Who can fill a lowsuit?
I as the creator, or
my client which went bancrupt,
because he purchased my work?

It depends where in the World you are. In the UK, in simple terms, unless you expressly asign copyright you only licence its use. It gets more complicated than this though, I think that there is case law that shows that work commissioned by a client on their products cannot be licensed to someone else.
I suspect that wherever you are you may be breaking new ground if you were to take action and that is always risky and potentially very expensive.
