Do I have to ask permission to use screenshots of a program? I want to post pictures of stock charts that are made from screenshots of a particular program. The screenshot feature automatically puts the little copyright and company name next to the chart. But this seems a little weird to me. Thanks.

I would say it is completely fine for you to do this.
You are allowed to take pictures of copyrighted items, a screen shot arguably is the same as a photo taken with a camera.
