Am I Posting Enough Content?

Hi, I have a website that I am working on, it already has about 40 pages, and I try to add a couple of articles each week. Remember that I am only 15. I have to balance everything else in life. I know that my site isn't huge, but I know that it offers more content than some of these sites who have thousands of pages of content, which are public domain. My content is unique. Am I doing this right? In the next year or two I should have a lot of articles and tutorials. Will this help my Search Engine Ranking? How will articles help me to get more visitors? Should I even worry about linking to people? Thanks

The articles will help folks find your site once they get indexed by the various search engines. More articles, more help.

Yes you need to think about linking. You need to do that carefully though, for several reasons. The linking forum here has a ton of good current threads about the subject.

I like the part of your message that said "I am only 15. I have to balance everything else in life."

As if a 15-year-old had a busier agenda than your average adult! Listen kid, free time doesn't increase when you age, it diminishes!

A good rule of thumb is to write one article a day, while eating that one apple a day, that keeps the doctor away.

That's a bit condescending isn't it?

I would imagine a 15 year old "kid" would be going to school for a better part of the day which would put him in the same boat as most us who might be working a day job and working on the website at nights and on weekends.

naitsirhc26 seems to be pretty aware of wanting to do things right and should probably be encouraged.

Am I doing this right? In the next year or two I should have a lot of articles and tutorials.

Sounds like a good plan. Adding articles and tutorials slowly and consistently is a great way to go.
I'm doing the same thing myself.

Damn right .. at 15 get out there and discover girls and get in to trouble and make mistakes and have fun etc ... don't be so concerned about your site..

What you are doing is more than a lot of people, just do as much as you enjoy doing.. there will be other sites other adventures..

What you are doing sounds fine .. good luck to you ..

Try and get original content and links to your site.... if my skills were as good as yours when I was 15 I would be happy. Keep it up.

Having said that - please get rid of the hidious multi coloured background! otherwise great!

What I ment to say is that I am busy, at least personally because I am 15, I will be graduating as a sophomore, I am the president at church for the boys youth group, I am a singer, which means I go to the sacramento music circus for auditions, I am a boy scout, and I have many sports and activities. Is this not enough for you! LOL.

My website is doing good for only being a month old, I already get about 30 visitors a day.

I thank everyone here who helps, and this place gives me a lot of help. Thanks.
