Choosing the right article subject

Although ironically I write for several magazines, over the years I have not submitted articles for my web design site, or any other non computer personal site that I maintain.

I'm trying to determine what I should actually write about, considering hundreds of other people must have already written about tips on preventing phishing, or tips on keeping your site attractice, etc. Do I write a simple one or two paragraph article, and then close with my website address?
