Paying a content writer

What is fair?

I searched around and did not find this discussed. I am paying a content writer who is doing a very good job for me. Content is unique, unduplicated and well researched.

I feel I am not paying enough for the work she is providing and I am curious what you guys consider fair and competitive.

If anyone has given this some thought, I would like to hear what you came up with.
