Use of a Company name

When writing a publication you plan to sell

When writing a book, booklet, ebook etc. that you plan to sell, titled similar to the examples below, do you have to ask permission from a company to use their name? Thank you.

"How to Sell Anything on eBay"

"Winning Results with Google AdWords"

Note: the titles are names of books I found doing a quick search at Amazon.

Hi,

I'll just say my personal opinion on that. I don't think that one should get such a permission for this very purpose. There are some restrictions for using a trademark name, in particular. But they take place when they are used separately, but not when they are mentioned somewhere.
I'll tell you more. Naturally, in such a context the name's owner is likely even to be interested in such using as that would be a kind of promotion for him or her.
