Benefiting from content.

I have fresh content, now what do I do….

Hi All,

I’ve hired a journalist 2 months ago and she’s producing large amounts of relevant fresh content for my travel website.

Now what do I do? Is there anyway I can get these articles spidered fast or do I have to sit tight for the next few months. If they are not news related articles is there any point submitting these news websites>

Okay, let's take a step back...

Why did you create the content in the first place? You must have had some reason for hiring a writer...

Your first use of this content should meet this initial intent since that was (presumably) your priority.

Now, I'm going to assume that you have a website and you intended to house this content on that site.

If so, your real question is, "How do you drive people to this content?" That's an entirely different question...

You could use google sitemap and update it as you go.. apart from that just wait for the spiders like everyone else ;)

Apart from that .. I think it is better to update content as it comes in rather than wait to do it in one big chunk ...

You could start up a monthly newsletter and include links to the latest articles in your newsletter. Subscribers will see the articles that way and perhaps pass the newsletter on to their friends. If you upload each newsletter issue too, the spiders will have more opportunities to index the new articles.

Why next few months?

I thought that Google's "deep crawl" is carried out once a month.
