Replicating a website

How much should I pay?

I've taken delivery of my commissioned website. It cost approx aus$6k, and I'm pleased with it.

I've now thought of a different application for the website, subject to a new domain and different website content. How much should I expect to pay if I ask the programmer to provide me with a copy?

I presume that I can then insert new content with a new domain.

Thanks in anticipation

Tony

It depends on your contract with the person who created the web site. If you own the design, well then, you can just pay someone else (if that's what you want) to roll out a new web site using the old site as a template.

Thanks for the prompt reply, and the good advice: - check the Contract you say! Mmmmm. I knew I had forgotten something.
