adding a list to some pages

Hi and happy new year,

Here's my question.

Let's say I have a page on widgets.

I want to make a list on that page of all of uses of widgets.

Let's say I come up 30 uses of a widget and I put them in a ordered list form.

Now, do I also need to have content above the list, as sort of an introduction, or will the list suffice alone?

It depends on the context and what it is you're seeking to provide to your audience.

My initial thought is that some form of introduction and/or explanation would likely be useful for visitors. Otherwise, how will they know what the list pertains to?

Mind you, that could just take the form of a simple 'headline'...

"101 uses for widgets"... that type of thing.
