Making forwarded emails unreadable

Hello all,

We send content that is paid by a subscription and want to make sure that no one sees it who hasn't paid for it.

Does any one know how to create an email that if forwarded will render itself unreadable?

once you figure that one out, you'll likely next wanna think about how you intend to stop the subscriber from doing a copy/paste of the text into some new message

then you'll need to figure out how to stop them from copying the text from a view source if you block copy/paste

and then you'll need to figure out how to block screen captures and their forwarding the resulting images

and so on ....

yeah, you're not wrong.

If anyone wants to break in they will no matter what security you use.

I am just trying to stop the casual offenders, I don't want to make it too easy for them.

Why not just go for a simpler solution and have the contents you want to protect on a web site which requires a login, and just send teasers and links via e-mail?

We are moving towards an online system, any new subscribers to our system don't get the choice. They are set up for the online protected pages automatically.

But with any subs'ers that that have been with us since being an email service only, we don't want to get rid of just cause they want the info sent by email. That wouldn't be good business.

I didn't know if there was a complicated but straightforward way of making the forwarded emails unreadable.

I have seen it done, but found it difficult to figure out exactly how they did it.
