I would hear everyones opinion on how many sections of content would the ultimate site have. I have listed a few possiblities below.

QUESTIONS > FAQs ¦ To ask your provider ¦ You may be asked ¦ have you asked yourself?

OFFERS > Contests ¦ latest deals ¦ Quiz News > articles ¦ research ¦ Register

IMAGES > maps ¦ photos ¦ diagrams

ABOUT US > contact us ¦ enquiry form ¦ jobs ¦ affiliates ¦ investor relations ¦ advertise with us ¦ for students ¦ how to find us ¦ testimonials¦ client list

LINKS > subject ¦ local ¦ other ¦ link to us ¦ trade bodies

CONTRIBUTE > Feedback ¦ ask us a question ¦ submit article

SMALL PRINT > ts & cs ¦ enlarging the small print

GLOSSARY > list ¦ quality ¦ your needs ¦ features ¦ benefits

ORDERS > shipping ¦ payment options ¦ guarantees / satisfaction promise ¦ returns & exchanges

CHARTER > ethics ¦ customer service ¦ what we stand for ¦ environmental policy Humour

can you think of any more?

Interesting approach. There was a fantastic discussion earlier on content for the smaller website [webmasterworld.com...]

What should be kept in mind though is the purpose of a site. Obviously there are vast differences between a small shop site and a large educatiional site for instance.

Hmmm - How about PRODUCTS - you have all the aciliary bits listed but not the real core of the site itself.

Could also include Product Search - Feature Comaprisons - Price Comparisons
