hi,

i'm not sure if this is the right place. i have just recently graduated from the Open Uni here in Singapore, majoring in English Language & Literature. as you can see, English is my main interest.

i am currently working in IT line but i don't forsee myself doing it for long. i wish to pursue a more meaningful career in my field of study, ie, English.

i would like to explore the field of writing or even researching. i don't have any previous experiences but am very willing to learn the ropes. i have a high-speed internet access at home and am willing to work from home on a freelance basis.

how do i go about doing this and finding suitable employees who are willing to teach me and give me a chance?

i hope anyone out there can help. thanks

Hi Azlin,

Your post will likely get moved by a moderator. Should be here [webmasterworld.com...]

There are many webmasters looking to hire content writers and there are many places online to find them.

Of course, your post says "where do you find employees" and what you are really seeking is employers, as you are hoping to be the employee.

We have thought about hiring copywriters but we are not structured yet to do so. You might want to check out weblogsinc as they hire writers on a pay for performance basis. This means it will be sometime before you earn anything but they will likely hire you.

In post such as this, if you told how much in US dollars you expect for pay, it might be of help.

Good Luck

Also, you should take care to write such posts with perfection as you will be judged on your ability to write them given your chosen line of work.

Capitalisation, spelling, grammar, etc.. I realise this is just a forum post but you shouldn't risk someone reading it and saying "Well, I'm not going to hire her if she doesn't capitalise the letter 'i'."

Hope that helps (my spelling is worse!).
