I am planning to combine two sites A is my web dev site B is about my other consulting qualification (unrelated to web biz)

I discovered that if I look for web biz in my B area of knowledge I get an higher rate of closing
As such I would like terminating B site and bringing most of its content to A
And reworking A to showcase a web dev specialization in B sector.

My question/problem is that since B has most of its page cached by SE
Even while B will no longer exist a content match will be found for a long while in between B cached pages and A

How should I address that problem? I might fall under dupe content rules!

Thanks

Regards

Henry

Instead of straight copy and paste I'd reword and rework the content that you are thinking about merging - and merge the revised content - as the method of avoiding the dup penalty and I'd keep both sites running since you never know when a SE or two will tweak their filters/algos and one of the sites may go into the tank.

Webwork,
Thanks it makes sense, I will do it as per your advice

I was trying to avoid maintaining another site on the top of others...
But I understand where you are coming from
