So my mother, a teacher, has finally decided that her awful paying job just isn't worth it anymore.

The plan is to slowly introduce her to making money on the web. She would take part-time contract work to start, and hopefully work her way up to full-time.

What kind of positions would pay above-average, and need minimal technical ability?

I suggested writing copy, editing, and generally managing CMS systems.

She's fairly computer literate, but doesn't know any html/css yet. I plan to teach her the basic text formatting tags (<p>, <br>, <strong>, etc) to get her started.

Please reply back with:
- specific job listings that you think might be good
- general recommendations
- how-to or tutorial sites to get her started

Thanks guys!

The question is "What can she write?"

As a teacher she will have some areas of expertise, maybe she could start making a website based around her interest. Or create resources for other teachers to use.

Samples of resources and accredited assessments could be given away with downloadable full versions on payment of a fee.

Otherwise, get her in touch with this poster :) [webmasterworld.com...]
