Hi guys ;)

My company is thinking about sending out a newsletter in PDF format, as html mailers always have problems.

Does anyone have any stats showing how many internet-enabled PCs have Adobe Acrobat installed? I'm guessing it would be at leat 50-60% but I really don't know.

thanks!

If I recall correctly, about 70% of our visitors use browsers with PDF support. Our site is technology-related.

andyp77,
Have you polled your readers. I would think that they would be your best source of information.

We supply a mix of document types from our sites and have not heard any complaints.

I would think that you would have more problems with users if you started sending out attachments instead of an html email.

I might try sending the newsletter in plain text and offer either a link to the pdf or an html page.
