What Does "syndicate this site," or "syndicate this content" Imply?

This question is in response to a thread that was discussed earlier in this area: [webmasterworld.com...]

My question is this . . . if I as a blogger allow for my content to be syndicated, I'm doing so with the express permission that anyone can "reproduce it" (what is syndication if not that) so long as you don't alter my feed.

The problem, or the concern, isn't with rss readers/aggregators but other sites that can syndicate feeds.

By asking for people to syndicate my feeds, am I not giving permission for people to do so through another website?

Do you run your own blog software on your site, or are you using Blogspot/Blogger/etc. to host your content? If it is the latter, you're already in a sense syndicating, since they are putting your content on their site.

If it is running on your server, you can have Terms and Conditions that suit your needs.
