I need help

I have a site that is poetry related and hosts pages for individual poets. I started it for a friend and he baled but I have managed to make some nickels and dimes with it..I would like to increase the traffic. (currently it is 3500-5000 uniques monthly)
I can write my own content but would like to ask of you all to help me come up with some ideas for articles, content, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reviews? Historical type essays? Is there any news relevant to the poetry world? Write commentary on it.

If you are making nickels and dimes a day with 5000 uniques/month, you are doing something inefficiently. Try optimizing your ad inventory and placements to raise your click-through rates and then improve navigation to increase pageviews. Work on getting more content only after you are properly monetizing it.
