I have an industry newsletter I produce with Adobe and sell on my website that is subsequently emailed to non-subscribers. I woudl like to embed a graphic into it that can then send back informtion on what computer it was opened on - I know there are such programs out there, and I would like to use one to see how extensive piracy of my newsletter has become. I have looked into protecting the newsletter with new compilers that register the publication with a server when opened on a specific computer and then cannot be emailed to anyone, and that is something i might also try, but right now i just want to track who is seeing my publication - does anyone have a link to free programs that allow construction of graphics with tracking embedded in them - I realize soem antivirus programs might stop them, but i am willing to try anything. And please no posts about just copyrighting - I know how that works and the process, if you can actually prove someone stole your work product.
