Early on in development of my site, I asked for some feedback from friends and I found that their suggestions were like gold. However, most times everyone is just too busy to help. I have also tried alt.html.critique with no success. Any suggestions for me? Is there a section for this on Webmaster World that I just haven't found yet?

Site reviews lead to the age old net problem of spam and near spam. Most all of the forums that allow site reviews are messy. We stay away from that here.

Put a prominent feedback form on your site and make the plea. If you have some loyal users, they'll tell you what they think. Also a poll can help, as does a forum where you can discuss local issues.

Hi aschrage and welcome to Webmaster World, thanks for posting.

First be sure to validate your code and check all your links and the logic of your site, make sure you’re loading time is good for dial-up and then ask for people to check you out. Along with Brett's suggestion I discovered that the sites that give out awards for websites will often review and in some cases comment on what they find. Some of those are even good for a link.

I agree with Brett that the users are your best choice for how your site is working for the end user. You may also try asking a colleague or associate in your profession. It doesn’t hurt to have a professional evaluation if you’re concerned and these are often quite affordable. There are dozens of SEO’s who are really good at this and there are many hanging here. A request in commercial exchange could help.

<note>I realize there are as many opinions as people so I plan ahead of time what information I am looking for and how I plan to utilize it when its gathered.
