Share My Facebook Info With the World

I'm always hiding something, don't know what!

Hi,

When Facebook tightened up the default privacy settings a while back, all of a sudden, "Everyone" is told my persona "only shares some of his profile information with everyone"

I've been through all the settings. I can't find what I'm "hiding". I want to be naked to the world (not literally!) to anyone who stumbles on my pages.

Is there a simple switch to accomplish total openness?

Or must I keep digging for some obscure setting that says to only share my (non-existent) mobile uploads or something?

So many settings for privacy! It's a bit overwhelming and the "Help" doesn't state more than the obvious.

Hope there is a switch! I'm used to chmod ;)

Account->Privacy Settings-> the sections on About me, Personal Info, photos, posts, comments, etc . . . are the ones you want, set them to "Everyone."

I've been through them all. I have a few pages set up, some longstanding, some new. All settings boast "Everyone", but something, somewhere must be just for some... - new pages are still fairly pristine with no apps and few sections set up.

Since I want to branch into setting up some fan pages and groups, I need to overcome this issue first.

I suspect it's a common problem since most pages I check out only "share certain information".

In the early days of FB, all seemed shared by default, then they changed policy.

Just can't find the offending setting after going through secondary, tertiary, quaternary - even quinary levels of those "security" settings.

Ruled out browser, cookie issues.

Perhaps I've turned 16 years old again ;)

Indeed, groups set up differently than individual user pages I've since learned.

When you set up a group, you are asked flat out in a nice, straightforward manner who should see this. Just like I'd expect.

However, I'm about, say 85% sure ;-) , that when you set up an ordinary user page, there is no way to be totally "open". It appears that by design you must now "friend" the person to see all Profile info.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
