Ideas on how to get people to my site

Hi Everybody does anybody have any ideas on how to draw users to my site? It has just been finished but in order for it to be successful it's going to require user input in the forum and blog does anybody have any ideas

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Critex. A good start would be the Community Building Library [webmasterworld.com] - there are some great threads in there about how to attract people to a new community, how to get lurkers to post, etc.

Roger is right, there is a wealth of info here on that. What helped me the most I think was being active yourself.

Start new threads, informative well formatted *important* threads for your board, and make them "stickies". Don't get carried away and do too many, but enough to inspire conversation. They also help the SE's index you.

Make sure the board has some sort of SEO mod to help it in the search engines.

That's just a smidge of stuff, do as Roger said and check out the other stuff too, you will be glad you did.
