It's that time of year again. What are you getting your moderators for the holidays? Last year I sent each one a custom $25 Visa Gift Card and a hand written card.

Today, I ordered 14 lava lamps (orange water, white lava... just like my site) which I will be taking to a local print shop to have my site logo stamped on. I'm also going to be placing an order with a t-shirt shop for 50+ t-shirts with an awesome technorganic design that a graphic designer is doing up for me as we speak. So each moderator is getting a custom lava lamp, t-shirt, and a nice little card from yours truly.

What are you guys doing for your moderators this year?!

I guess the best thing I could do for the mods is to just stop posting for awhile.

Besides, I'm not giving anybody anything until Google gives me a fridge.

Good question. I've been thinking about this myself. Visa gift cards are a good idea but, like you and viggen, I'd like to go with something more topic specific.

We were just talking about this today. We're doing a mixture of Best Buy gift cards and Harry & David baskets.

That's a generous and thoughtful gift package, skyhawk133 - you are really setting the bar high for the rest of us (and for yourself in future years)!

I'm always a bit conflicted between something tied to the topic/site (e.g., logowear) or something more practical (gift card). I've done good brand name polo shirts with a small logo in the past. Watch out for "bargain" logowear, you don't wan't your gift to be unusable after it's been washed a few times.

How about Starbucks gift cards to keep them awake and perky during those long hours in front of the computer screen?

A fire extinguisher for dousing flames? ;)
