I like to redirect a domain to sub-domain of a different domain also maintenaing the currect rating on the site. As it is said it can be done by 302 using htaccess. How to do that as I have never used htaccess for redirecting. Can somebody help me out with the code written in htaccess.

Ex. I like to redirect all pages in the site http://www.example.com to there respective pages in http://mydomain.newexample.com, keeping the ranking of all the pages intact. The sub-domain "mydomain" will be pointing to the folder in the site http://www.newexample.com.

As SEO we have to again the submit the files for http://mydomain.newexample.com or it will called as supliment. Will his also help in promotion of http://www.newexample.com

rupak,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

We can't write code on demand here, but if you will try to write your own, we'll be happy to help with specific problems.

For more information, please see our forum charter [webmasterworld.com], the documents cited in the Charter, and the tutorials in the Apache forum section of the WebmasterWorld library [webmasterworld.com].

Regarding 'submitting' new URLs, that has been unnecessary for over five years; All you need to do is to get links to the new URLs, and search engines will find them. "Submit your site" services are pretty much just stealing money these days, since there is no need to submit sites any more.
