Inserting Adsense code with SSI

I would like to insert the Adsense code using SSI do you think this will cause any problems of any kind?

If not do you think Google minds if the page is added to hundreds and hundreds of pages all at once like that?

I am asking purely as I want to be a little cautious especially the first time I add the code. Plus I note in the TOS it says that if ever your site is no longer allowed to carry the ads you have to remove them within one hour (!) now I may be fast and I doubt Google would hold you to that but a TOS is a TOS and the only way I would be able to do that would be if I only had one file to edit rather than a few hundred or thousand.

I serve AdSense via SSI in 3 sites - no problems yet.
I don't see why Google would care, plus, how can they tell anyway?

Thanks defanjos - your comments are what I thought but still best to check with those that have experience. As you say how would they know. Well will give it a try.

i always had a laugh at that "one hour" thing. Just what were they thinking when they wrote that? We all sit around checking our email hourly? I can do a multi-replace in 10 mins but it will take around 2 to upload everthing back to the server.

No - includng the code by SSI or PHP, CFM, ASP or any other language is server side so its just the same as adding manually to every page. From other posts here, Google i think also allows it in frames and has a special code to make it work in them.

Yeah morning Chiyo - must admit to having a laugh at that one. Well it is now up and looks great. Interestingly the ads are only targetted on pages that were added before 17 July 2003.

I really hope that they will stick to the 30 minutes that they have suggested it takes for them to target ads on newly added pages, otherwise I will be helping the Red Cross enormously!

Anyway am only testing it at the moment and have decided to let my competitors advertise as well, as the pages they are on I hope will not affect our sales but we will see.
