I have 1 server. 2 NIC cards. 1 internet site on the server using SSL certificates, some modules, perl, python, and no cold fusion on it. I have the cold fusion server CD just waiting to used and set up on the machine.
I have to bring the other half of the internet site (that has a different domain name) home, onto this server. It uses Cold Fusion, and no SSL certificates.
I also have to build an intrAnet on this server, and use some kind of network authentication, be it LDAP, or whatever. This will probably use Cold Fusion, and maybe some other stuff. not sure yet.
The question: What's the best set-up /configuration for this?
Things to consider : SSL sites need their own IP address/NIC card.
The additional minor questions that are all part of the big question already stated: single/multiple daemon?
IP -Based / NAme-Based virtual host? Where to let the actual, files of different sites physically reside? Does setting up cold fusion, and apache modules and perl and python for 1 site on the box = setting them up for all sites on the box?
the appreciation for you answering my question: a big THANK YOU!
Have you dug through this documentation [httpd.apache.org] yet?
