Hi all

After much searching and playing I have had no luck in setting up a local test cert. and https?

Heeeeelp.

Anyone know of a good guide out there I may have missed?

I followed [vanemery.com...] to the letter and once setup ssh.conf apache will not restart! AArrrghhg.

The following error:
Starting httpd: Syntax error on line 122 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf:
SSLCertificateFile: file '/etc/httpd/conf/ssl.crt/mars-server.crt' does not exist or is empty

As you can see from the guide which I followed the crt is there. I have double/tripple checked my setup and all looks OK?

Thanks in advance.

OK - I think I may be getting somewhere. When I restart httpd it restarts fine and asks me for the pass phrase all with [OK] but when I go to [blahblah...] and [blahblah...] I get "unable to connect" errors?

Any ideas before I throw the server out the window? :-)

Got it working! Wooohoooo

Well sort of. I was soooo frustrated I ended up trying multiple things without testing each step or documenting. As a result I have no idea how I did it. AArrrghhghgh You would think being a professional techie for 7 years would teach me - but noooo.

Anyway - I'm off to start from scratch - I may be back.
