Redirecting to a new domain and keeping variables

I want to take a site that is currently using:

[domain.com...]

I want to change the domain to:

[domain2.com...]

Is there a way via mod-rewrite to make this happen with out affecting affecting what comes after the /?

The default behaviour of mod_rewrite would be to pass the variables unchanged.
