How can I prevent browser access to certain directories/files, while linking still functioning?

So you want to stop browsers from accessing a directory, but in the same sentence you want to allow browsers access to the same directory. Forgive me, but you are going to have to offer more detail, I'm just not getting it :)

Well, not really. You see, following a link and keying the link into the address bar are really the same thing, you are just making it easier for the end user to click as opposed to type.

What is it you truly want to accomplish though? What is the difference if the user clicks or keys the url?

I have a site that should only be available after a payment. After payment youre automatically redirected back to thi site to complete a form. This way I don't have to have a member base, passwords..etc. but if the adress of the site is viewable it will be far to easy to go aroud the payment, so I have to check each payment every time..

Is it possible to "hide" the site-adress the browser is showing..that would work to!
