Apache2 on one partition, Web dev on another

Can I have Apache2 on one partition and my web development folder on a different partition? If so, what would be involved in setting that up? My web development folder is currently on the same partition as Apache2. My dev machine runs Linux.

The process of creating this on a different partition is exactly the same as creating it on the "same partition".

Is there a specific part you are stuck on?
