Hi All,
I am very new to Apache server technology.
Can anybody tell me the Steps along with Screen shot to Create a self owned SSL certificate and configure it to Apache Sever for windows-8.
I am able to run http://localhost:8585 (my own defined port) successfully on my local machine. But it is not working fine with [localhost:8443....]

I created a self signed certificate as well in C:/ drive and linked it with server.xml file as well but still not getting any success of converrting it to https.

Please help me with all pre-set ups and post set ups for doing this. I mean to say right from Java_home and Catalina path set-ups as well.

Thanks,
Amit

Is this setup for your personal development machine? I ask because you can set FF to hold an exception. On a live server it won't help.

Yes on my local machine. like I said.. I am totally new to this field. Hence, even a small step would be great help.

I need step by step details. I tried all possible things from internet.
