First, welcome to the long over due Apache server forum. As you can see from the 4k+ posts we rounded up, it was clearly needed by popular demand.

Second, please welcome a new moderator - our resident htaccess guru, jdMorgan.

Welcome jd! Thanks for all the help you have been around here answering peoples questions about mod_rewrite and other apache specific topics.

Thanks everybody!

Wow! Two pages in this thread while I was answering the first 'flood' of stickymail. I'm humbled, and grateful for your show of support.

Please bear with me while I get oriented, and figure out how to do things -- I note that I can't use mod_rewrite to administrate this forum, so I'm a little disoriented right now. :)

Thanks again,
Jim

Aw, excellent timing! I just decided today I'd be branching out from Stupid HTML Tricks and my more recent Stupid CSS Tricks to attempt some Stupid Apache Tricks, and whaddayaknow but WebmasterWorld obliges by putting in a forum for me! How convenient. :D

There aren't many ways to make WW better but Brett sure keeps finding a way to do it.

It's about time you got your own place, JD. I'll be dropping by often.

Congrats,

Jim

Great choice for a mod.

jdMorgan you've helped me out on a lot of occasions with htaccess, expect to get your brain picked a lot more now.

Mack.

Brett - Great choice!

Jim - Congratulations. I can't think of anybody on this board who's been more generous with his time and advice, or more patient with a rank beginner like me. Thank you, and have a great time with this forum.

Please accept my apologies for being so very tardy in congratulating you, Jim - it just hasn't been possible for me to be here for a while. Frankly, you're just the best and I'm still trying to figure out a way to adopt you and bring you home with me :).

My warmest thoughts for you and thank you so very much for the tremendous help you've already given me and so many others here.
