Hi,

Im writing because even though I found many examples online but none of them seems to work.

I installed mod_geoip plus uploaded a geoip.dat file my server but it doesn't seem to work.

I tried these options:
[linux-faqs.info...]

[gabrielserafini.com...]

[portal.my-tss.com...]

I mostly want to block bunch of countries. As I'm not really a programmer I would like someone to give me some guide where to put and what within Apache.

Thanks

welcome to WebmasterWorld, tescojim!

you really should start reading through the Search Engine Spider and User Agent Identification forum on WebmasterWorld:

Hi tescojim, welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Did you already see any progress in your problem? Referring you to the search engine spider forum might not have been the best advice because your problem is with installing a module in Apache, rather than with maintaining a database of IPs itself.

Are there any error messages in your Apache logfiles which are worth posting here so we can help you in the right direction? I use the GeoIP database myself and might be able to send you in the right direction.

I recall some old threads on this (installing the GEO modules), however I've no clue how to locate them.
