I installed apache 2.2.21 on my windows 2003 server I was looking into how I can make directory listings look better and in my httpd-autoindex.conf I found this

<IfModule autoindex_color_module>

I have mod_autoindex installed but I can’t find mod_autoindex_color anywhere. I searched google, yahoo, bing, apache.org

My question is where can I download mod_autoindex_color?

If it isn't listed among current Apache mods it's either been superseded (absorbed into a higher-level mod or the core) or it's third party. Either way I wouldn't touch it. How 'bout a style sheet instead?

That is what I kind of figured, but why would they still have this code in httpd.conf when it will never be executed?

I just thought it was weird that I couldn't find any info about it anywhere, other than a couple posts that showed people had it installed at the time of their post. You would think apache.org would still have info about it if they once provided it and still have this code in their default httpd.conf file.

It's definitely third party-- but apparently part of the config-file boilerplate. Isn't in the MAMP version, though.

Did you see this one?

I did find a site that seems to have it for download, but it's surrounded with so many cautions and warnings-- and they say it was developed by Apache, which I don't believe-- that I'm not even going to post the link. But it pops right up if you do an exact-text search.

Elsewhere on the same Results page there's a query headed "I need a really fast and easy favor." This clearly was not posted at WebmasterWorld ;)
