Windows Apache 2.2 Internal & External Setup

I've setup Apache 2.2 on windows server 2008. I've got virtual hosts working internally by modifying the windows hosts file. I now need to set it up to host these sites externally but I cannot work out how. I've read various documentation around the net but can't seem to find the right thing.

If someone can explain how to do this or point me in the right direction that would be great.

Domain Name Server (DNS) is the research term you are seeking. You need to set up a zone file for each domain in order to reach your server from an external source.
