What's causing Apache to generate mysite.net/?InterWikiName

What is?InterWikiName

I'm running Apache on CentOS 5. I only have two static pages on my server for this site but a third is being generated that is the same as my index page. "www.mysite.net/?InterWikiName" How is this page being generated? Is it a security risk? How do I stop it from being generated because it is giving me duplicate content on Google.

Redirect the request to strip the query string.

There are many prior threads with examples of such a redirect. I've answered several such posts in the last few days.
