Rewrite for Wordpress

Hello,

I have a Wordpress website that has Disqus plugin installed. This plugin adds "/comment-page-X" to each post. I changed my permalinks from year, month, date, post name to year, post name, but I encountered a problem. I tried dean's permalink migrator and other plugins but none helped me. The problem was that posts like:

http://mydomain.com/2011/11/11/the-post/comment-page-1

were all broken(with the old permalinks), but worked fine with the new permalink structure.

Afterwards I tried to edit .htaccess to write a custom rewrite rule to take care of that.

After some hours of study I found the rule:

RewriteRule ^/([0-9]{4})/([0-9]{1,2})/([0-9]{1,2})/(.*)$ http://mydomain.com/$1/$4$ [R=301]

(which i hope is right)

I've put it in htaccess but nothing happened.

Could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong because I'm trying things for 2 days, but no luck.

I believe the reason why it's not working is that I misplaced the rewrite rule or it's wrong. I don't have any other ideas. Please help me :-(

External redirects should be listed before internal rewrites.

The redirect also needs the [L] flag.
